✅ A Special Piece of Taylor History

The Legacy K65e LTD brings together Taylor’s early design philosophy and the craftsmanship that has defined the company for more than five decades.

The curvaceous, non-cutaway Jumbo body is constructed entirely from beautifully figured Hawaiian koa. Koa is particularly appealing for its combination of visual beauty, clarity, and tonal complexity. As the wood matures and the guitar is played over time, its voice develops additional warmth and sweetness.

One of the most significant features of this model is its specially developed Legacy X-Bracing. This nuanced variation of traditional X-Bracing was personally refined by Bob Taylor to complement the all-koa Jumbo body.

The result is a remarkably expansive voice with a rich midrange, complex octave textures, impressive dynamic range, and the room-filling projection that makes a great 12-string so captivating.

Taylor also incorporated its renowned NT neck design, delivering the comfortable, effortless playability that helped establish the company’s reputation for exceptional 12-string guitars.

✅ A Beautiful Tribute to Taylor’s Heritage

The K65e LTD is filled with distinctive appointments that pay homage to Taylor’s earlier instruments.

Highlights include:

• Classic straight-ear peghead design.
• GA-LTD Agoya shell fretboard and peghead inlays inspired by Taylor designs dating back to 1995.
• Beautiful green abalone top purfling.
• Green abalone single-ring rosette with bound soundhole.
• Elegant faux-tortoiseshell body and fretboard binding.
• West African Crelicam ebony fingerboard and bridge.
• Gold Taylor tuning machines.
• Full-body gloss finish.

Perhaps the most meaningful detail is the Legacy Collection interior back label, personally hand-signed by Taylor co-founders Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug.

With only 52 instruments being produced worldwide, each guitar represents a very special piece of Taylor history.

Our Expert Opinion – Why Buy From Tobias Music?

There is something particularly special about an all-koa Taylor Jumbo 12-string. The combination of Hawaiian koa’s rich tonal character, the expansive voice of a Jumbo body, and the natural shimmer of twelve strings creates an incredibly inspiring musical experience.

What makes this model even more interesting is Bob Taylor’s personal involvement in refining the Legacy X-Bracing. Rather than simply recreating an earlier instrument, Taylor has thoughtfully revisited its heritage and incorporated decades of additional experience and refinement.

The K65e LTD is an exceptional opportunity for the serious Taylor enthusiast, the dedicated 12-string player, or anyone looking for a truly distinctive addition to their collection.

At Tobias Music, we’ve been a proud Taylor dealer for more than 35 years. Our experience with Taylor guitars, combined with our professional inspection and setup process, gives you the confidence that your new instrument is receiving the attention it deserves.

Just 52 guitars worldwide. A remarkable celebration of Taylor’s legacy.
