The Legacy 810e celebrates Taylor's groundbreaking guitar designs that have been shaping the industry since 1975. This model reimagines the original Dreadnought acoustic-electric guitar, blending its classic sound, appearance, and feel with select modern enhancements for improved performance and style. Constructed with Indian rosewood back and sides and a Sitka spruce top, the 810e showcases Bob Taylor's pioneering craftsmanship, delivering a powerful, resonant tone enriched with warmth, shimmering highs, and lush overtones. The traditional X-bracing and Taylor's signature tonal artistry further define its commanding sound.
This updated version features a modern Taylor neck profile, designed for effortless playability and easy adjustments, alongside a slightly evolved Dreadnought body shape that remains true to Taylor's early designs. The guitar's aesthetic nods to the original 800 Series details, including white binding, a three-ring rosette with green abalone accents, mother-of-pearl Large Diamond fretboard inlays, a faux-tortoiseshell pickguard, and ebony bridge pins adorned with green abalone dots.
Equipped with an LR Baggs Element VTC undersaddle pickup featuring discreet soundhole-mounted controls, the Legacy 810e is ready for both stage and studio performances. It comes with a deluxe hardshell case for secure transport and includes a special Legacy interior label to commemorate its heritage.

The Taylor Guitars Legacy Collection commemorates 50 years of groundbreaking musical craftsmanship and innovation. This special series launches with five acoustic models that pay tribute to Taylor's rich heritage. Three of these models are reimagined versions of rosewood/spruce guitars from the iconic 800 Series, which trace their origins to some of Bob Taylor’s earliest creations. The other two models spotlight the Grand Auditorium body style, a signature design that has come to define the modern Taylor sound.
Drawing inspiration from Bob Taylor’s original builds, these retrospective guitars embody the essence of Taylor’s history by blending foundational design principles with key advancements developed over the years. To mark this milestone, the first 100 guitars of each model will include an interior label personally signed by Taylor founders Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug, adding a unique touch of authenticity and legacy to these exceptional instruments.
