Built around Taylor’s versatile Grand Auditorium body shape, the next-generation 414ce is designed to excel across a broad range of musical settings. Its classic rosewood back and sides paired with a Sitka spruce top deliver warm, supportive lows, clear shimmering highs, and a gently scooped midrange—resulting in a dynamic, well-balanced voice that suits working musicians of virtually any style. Updated scalloped V-Class® bracing enhances low-end richness while improving volume, sustain, and harmonic consistency across the fretboard. A newly designed long-tenon Action Control Neck™ adds depth and warmth to the overall tone while allowing for quick, precise string-height adjustments on the fly.
Aesthetically, the 414ce is equally refined, featuring a high-gloss body finish, black binding, a firestripe pickguard, Taylor nickel tuners, elegant Weathervane inlays, and a single-ring Italian acrylic rosette accented with black and white purfling.
Outfitted with Taylor’s new Claria™ electronics system, the 414ce is ready for studio work, live performance, and everything in between. The redesigned preamp and pickup include discreet soundhole-mounted controls and a Mid-Contour knob that makes dialing in the perfect midrange effortless.
