✅ Why You’ll Love This Guitar

The 00 body size and 12-fret design create an exceptionally comfortable playing experience, while the 24.9-inch scale length provides a relaxed feel under the fingers.

An Adirondack spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and hand-shaped Golden Era scalloped Adirondack bracing give this guitar a wonderfully responsive voice. Expect a deep, rich, warm tone with impressive projection for such a comfortable, compact instrument.

Elegant vintage-inspired details, including brown faux tortoise binding, an aging toner finish, and Old Style 18 abalone fretboard inlay, complete the look. A commemorative label recognizing Chris Martin IV and Craig Thatcher makes this instrument even more distinctive.

✅ Our Expert Opinion

At Tobias Music, we’ve spent decades working with Martin guitars, and this Custom Shop model is a wonderful example of how thoughtful design and traditional craftsmanship can create something truly memorable.

The comfortable body and shorter scale make it a pleasure to play, while the Adirondack spruce top and scalloped bracing provide a surprising amount of projection. The mahogany adds warmth and clarity, resulting in a rich, balanced voice that works beautifully for fingerstyle playing, light strumming, and intimate acoustic performances.

Its limited availability and connection to the Chris Martin IV and Craig Thatcher events add another layer of significance. This isn’t simply another Martin 00; it’s a distinctive Custom Shop instrument with a story worth telling.
