And now for something completely different. Taylor Guitars all new Gold Label 814e Honduran Rosewood paired with a torrified Sitka Spruce top. With exceptional craftsmanship, premium tonewoods, and innovative design elements, the Gold Label 814e introduces a fresh evolution of Taylor’s signature sound. This model debuts the Super Auditorium body shape, a slightly larger take on the renowned Grand Auditorium, delivering powerful projection alongside a warm, vintage-inspired richness that appeals to both traditionalists and modern players. Constructed with Honduran rosewood back and sides and a torrefied Sitka spruce top, it produces deep, resonant lows, clear trebles, and a harmonically rich tone with blooming overtones. Inside, the latest version of Taylor’s V-Class bracing enhances sustain, volume, and pitch accuracy across the fretboard. A newly designed long-tenon neck joint improves resonance and sonic transfer while allowing precise adjustability. Visually, this Super Auditorium model features refined details, including a Continental inlay suite, a redesigned pickguard, grained ivoroid trim, antique chrome Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons, bone bridge pins, and a high-gloss body finish. Equipped with LR Baggs Element VTC electronics, it comes with a deluxe hardshell case in a British Cocoa finish.

Building upon the versatility, balance, and clarity that define Bob Taylor’s Grand Auditorium, the Super Auditorium represents an evolution of that beloved design. Retaining the familiar curves and contours, this shape features a slightly longer body and a wider lower bout, enhancing depth and resonance while maintaining playability. Drawing inspiration from guitars of the 1930s and ’40s, it produces an open, blooming voice that fills a room with minimal effort yet gains power and warmth as you dig in. Inside, a specialized fanned V-Class bracing system further enhances sustain, volume, and pitch accuracy across the neck.
