Exceptional Tonewoods: Honduran Rosewood & Sinker Redwood

✅ This is a particularly special tonewood combination.

Honduran Rosewood Back and Sides

Honduran Rosewood is prized for its remarkable tonal complexity and harmonic richness. Its naturally dense structure produces deep, articulate bass, piano-like trebles, and a beautifully smooth response. The result is a sophisticated voice with tremendous clarity, definition, and sustain.

Sinker Redwood Top

Sinker Redwood brings a wonderful combination of warmth, sensitivity, and power. Known for its cedar-like responsiveness and impressive dynamic range, Redwood responds beautifully to a light touch while offering plenty of headroom when played aggressively.

Together, these tonewoods create an exceptionally expressive guitar with lush overtones, warm fundamentals, and outstanding note separation.

✅ Our Expert Opinion

The Builder’s Edition 914ce is one of Taylor’s most impressive premium acoustic-electric offerings. The Honduran Rosewood and Sinker Redwood combination is particularly appealing, delivering a rich, sophisticated voice that works beautifully for both fingerstyle playing and full-bodied strumming.

And here’s what makes this particular guitar especially interesting: while it was built in 2024, it remains in mint condition and carries its full Taylor Factory Warranty. We’re offering it at a special Demo price, making this an outstanding opportunity for someone who has been considering a high-end Builder’s Edition Taylor.

Important Model Distinction: This is the original 2024 Builder’s Edition 914ce, not the newer Next Generation version. It features traditional V-Class bracing (not scalloped V-Class bracing) and Taylor’s Expression System 2 electronics.
