The Martin D-X2E Billy Strings is inspired by Billy’s admiration for his pre-war D-28, offering a more accessible option for fans and players. It retains the distinctive 25” scale length and custom nut width of its premium counterpart, allowing for effortless playability and intricate, fast-paced jamming while maintaining a comfortable feel. Constructed with durable Brazilian rosewood-patterned HPL back and sides and a solid spruce top, this Dreadnought delivers a rich, booming tone suited for both traditional and modern acoustic styles. Classic touches include nickel open-gear tuners, an ebony fingerboard with faux abalone inlays, and a style 28 rosette. Equipped with Martin E1 electronics and a built-in tuner, it’s stage-ready right out of the case. Housed in a hemp softshell case, the D-X2E Billy Strings is a rugged, dependable instrument that embodies his spirit of innovation and genre-blending. Each guitar also features a custom paper label with Billy’s pre-printed signature and graphic.
