Martin 000E Retro Plus Granadillo — Road Series — Acoustic-Electric Guitar

Martin 000E Retro Plus Granadillo Acoustic-Electric Guitar

A Classic Martin Voice in a Comfortable 000 Body

The Martin 000E Retro Plus Granadillo is a fantastic new addition to Martin’s popular Road Series for 2026. Designed with the look and feel of Martin’s legendary Style 28 guitars, this 000 acoustic-electric delivers a remarkably sophisticated combination of tone, comfort, and value.

The 000 body size is one of Martin’s most versatile designs—comfortable to hold, incredibly responsive, and capable of producing a surprisingly full and balanced voice. Add a torrefied solid spruce top and solid granadillo back and sides, and you have a guitar with the tonal character and visual appeal of a much more expensive instrument.

✅ Why You’ll Love This Guitar

The heart of the 000E Retro Plus Granadillo is its torrefied solid spruce top. Martin thermally ages the spruce to create a more open, played-in character right out of the box. The result is a lively, responsive top with excellent clarity, warmth, and sustain.

The solid granadillo back and sides are an especially exciting feature. Granadillo offers a tonal character that falls nicely between the warmth of traditional rosewood and the clarity and definition players often associate with harder tonewoods. It gives this Martin plenty of sustain, sparkling highs, and excellent balance across the entire fretboard.

The combination of scalloped X-bracing and the 000 body allows the guitar to respond easily to a light touch while still providing plenty of power when you dig in.

✅ Classic Martin Looks — Modern Playability

Martin has given the 000E Retro Plus Granadillo a collection of appointments inspired by its legendary Style 28 instruments, including a faux tortoise pickguard, Style 28 rosette, ebony bridge and fingerboard, 28-style fingerboard dots, nickel open-gear tuners, and Martin’s classic old-style script logo.

The Performing Artist (PA) neck profile with High-Performance Taper and 1 3/4” nut width provides a comfortable, modern playing feel, while the 24.9” scale length makes this 000 particularly inviting for fingerstyle, flatpicking, singer-songwriters, and players who simply prefer a more comfortable body size.

✅ Ready for the Stage

The 000E Retro Plus Granadillo comes equipped with LR Baggs Element electronics, making it equally at home on stage, in the studio, or in the living room. Martin also includes a protective softshell case.

✅ Our Expert Opinion

We think Martin has hit a real sweet spot with the new 000E Retro Plus Granadillo. It has the unmistakable look and feel of a classic Martin, but the torrefied spruce and granadillo combination gives it a distinctive tonal personality all its own.

For players looking for a high-quality Martin acoustic-electric with classic styling, premium tonewoods, comfortable playability, and excellent value, this new Road Series model deserves a serious look. It offers a lot of what makes Martin special without stepping into the price range of many of Martin’s higher-end models.

Classic Martin looks. Classic Martin craftsmanship. A fresh new tonal recipe. And an outstanding value.
