Taylor’s 800 Series has a rich legacy of delivering beautifully resonant 12-string guitars, dating back to the 1970s when artists like Neil Young embraced them for their comfortable playability and shimmering tone. The 854ce continues this tradition, offering the iconic 12-string sound with exceptional playability, thanks to its Grand Auditorium body shape and a built-in radius-style armrest.
Crafted with a solid Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides, this model features V-Class bracing for enhanced volume and sustained resonance. The result is a well-balanced, versatile tone with warm lows, crisp highs, and a lush overtone response. Its slender neck ensures a relaxed fretting experience, while the rosewood armrest provides a smooth, comfortable surface for strumming.
Visually, the 854ce stands out with elegant details, including mother-of-pearl Element fretboard inlays, a green abalone rosette, maple binding, and a rosewood pickguard. Equipped with ES2 electronics, it comes complete with a deluxe hardshell case.
