Pre-Loved Guild 12 String F212 Natural 1978 with Original Hardshell Case
Tobias Music - Chicago Area’s Finest Guitars
Very nice find. 1978 Guild F212 12 String guitar in excellent shape. This one was well cared for a 48 year old guitar. Minor fret wear and action is good. A handful of minor finish blems, but nothing major. No deep dings or scratches. This one has aged well. Original case included.
A 1978 Guild F‑212 is a large-bodied American-made 12-string acoustic guitar built during Guild’s well-regarded Westerly, Rhode Island era. It’s known for its powerful projection and rich chorus effect typical of vintage Guild 12-strings. These guitars were designed for strong rhythm work and big, ringing chords—popular with folk, rock, and singer-songwriters of the era.
Late-70s F-212 typically produces:
Huge volume and projection
Strong low end with clear trebles
The classic shimmering 12-string chorus effect
Excellent for strumming and open-chord work
Guild 12-strings from this era are often described as louder and more robust than many contemporary 12-strings, which is why they became popular for stage use.
