The beloved Martin 000-28EC signature model is a masterfully built homage to the pre-war acoustic guitar Eric Clapton played during his iconic MTV Unplugged performance. Featuring the classic 000 body shape, it delivers a beautifully balanced tone across all six strings. The combination of East Indian rosewood back and sides provides warmth and depth, while the spruce top adds brilliance and definition for a tone that’s rich, articulate, and full of character.
Clapton’s preferred 24.9” short scale length enhances playability, making it especially responsive for fingerstyle work and expressive string bends. The modified V-shaped neck, crafted from genuine mahogany, offers a comfortable, vintage-style feel with excellent control and hand fit.
