This guitar sports time-tested features like Authentic bracing, hide glue and cloth strip construction, and an adjustable truss rod which gives enthusiasts the day-in, day-out reliability of an instrument that travels well AND responds to seasonal adjustments as it matures. With the all-new Custom Shop 000-18 Authentic, the stars have aligned again.
Visually, this model takes advantage of Martin’s proprietary Vintage Low Gloss process which lends to the vintage mojo of this work of art. This Custom Shop 000-18 1937 comes Martin’s proprietary light aging process. Stage 1 aging lacks the heavy wear and tear of a well-worn instrument and instead features the light checking inspired by those rare guitars that were simply kept in a case and tucked away for decades. It bears the marks of time but not the heavy wear common on newly aged guitars.The new Custom Shop 000-18 Authentic 1937’s are some of the best guitars to come out of Nazareth, PA period. Museum quality, heirloom level.
