The King of ES Models
The Gibson Custom Shop represents the pinnacle of guitar craftsmanship, delivering unmatched quality and sonic excellence. Each instrument reflects Gibson’s rich legacy with meticulous attention to detail, historical accuracy, and authenticity.
When it comes to iconic guitars, what could possibly surpass the renowned ES-335? Enter the ES-355. This top-tier model builds upon everything that makes the ES-335 legendary, from the semi-hollowbody design that minimizes feedback to its dual humbucking pickups with independent volume and tone controls. The result is an instrument with incredible versatility and playability.
However, the ES-355 takes things even further. It features a luxurious ebony fretboard embellished with 1950s-style mother-of-pearl block inlays, accompanied by 22 medium jumbo frets for exceptional feel and precision. A split diamond inlay on the headstock, multi-ply binding, and gold hardware enhance the instrument’s premium aesthetic, affirming its status as the top of Gibson's ES™ lineup.
This particular rendition is a faithful recreation of the highly coveted 1959 ES-355, brought to life by the expert craftsmanship of the Gibson Custom Shop. Included with the guitar is a high-quality five-latch Lifton™ case, offering secure storage and protection.
Adding to the allure, the guitar features the Murphy Lab's Light Aging treatment, a finishing process that artfully replicates decades of natural wear. The lightly aged hardware and finish give the ES-355 an authentic vintage vibe, evoking the look, feel, and soul of a treasured original from Gibson’s Golden Era. This attention to detail makes it a masterpiece both visually and sonically, perfectly suited for players and collectors alike.
